The WalkBUDi scheme is simple and free to use. It simply matches individuals with others walking the same way so they can walk together.

The matches are displayed in both table and map format, allowing the user to easily find the most suitable people.

The idea is to help individuals to meet others wanting to travel the same way. It can be used for regular trips such as walking to the office or going to the station as well as occasional trips such as going out at night or even if you want to find others going off for a weekend ramble.

WalkBUDI helps make walking fun, safe and sociable.

By putting experienced walkers in touch with those willing to give it a try we hope to reduce some of the usual reasons for not walking.

The system also calculates the financial and CO2 saving you could make compared to making that journey by car.
